The Moon-Muncher

The Moon-Muncher, a rocket made of a sturdy soda cracker, hurtled through the starry sky. Inside, Barnaby adjusted his thimble-helmet while Pip and Dot checked their candy-wrapper maps.

"Look!" Dot pointed. The Moon wasn't a cold rock; it was a glowing orb of creamy gold with craters like bubbles in a fondue pot. The ship landed with a soft squish.

Barnaby stepped out onto golden crumbles. He took a tiny nibble of a "rock" and whispered, "It’s Sharp Cheddar."

The crew feasted: Dot somersaulted into Brie, Pip climbed mountains of Gouda, and Barnaby planted a toothpick flag in a Mozzarella hill.

They bounced through the low gravity until their bellies were as round as the Moon itself. As they drifted home, a sleepy Pip mumbled, "Best field trip ever." They finally knew the truth: the Moon was the best cheese in the galaxy.
